Abdul R. Nisar, DO

Starting August – September 2025.

Dr. Abdul R. Nisar was raised in the suburbs of Baltimore, MD. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts degree In Biology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2014. He spent some time working in the Emergency department in Maryland as a scribe and also volunteered his time to tutor students at his local community college. Then, in 2017 he re-entered academia by enrolling in a 1-year post baccalaureate program at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). Upon completion, he was granted admission into LECOM’s medical school class. Dr. Nisar graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from LECOM in 2022.

Dr. Nisar had the pleasure of being in the Harrisburg area for one of his medical school clerkships and absolutely fell in love with the area and the people. He went on to start his residency training at UPMC in Harrisburg, PA in the field of Family Medicine. Dr. Nisar truly appreciates the longitudinal care aspect of family medicine and towards the end of his residency training, he decided to stay in the Harrisburg area and continue to serve the local community.

In his spare time Dr. Nisar likes to spend time with his family, watch historically relevant movies/shows and collect old American coins.
