Family Practice Center at Loysville, formerly known as Perry Health Center, hit a major milestone in August 2024, celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The medical facility at 1100 Montour Road has been a cornerstone of the community since construction began in May 1973. By December of that year, the first patients were received, and the center was officially dedicated in July 1974.
The story of Family Practice Center begins with Dr. Joseph Matunis, who saw patients at his home. Recognizing the need for a dedicated medical facility, the community rallied through fundraising and committees, bringing the vision to life. The original building on the current site was constructed thanks to the hard work and dedication of many local residents.
This office provides primary healthcare services to patients of all ages and is currently accepting new patients.
