The frequency of treatment is then decreased until one treatment every six to eight weeks is needed to maintain relief.
Dr. Passi may recommend acupuncture in addition to conventional treatments. He may also use the method when conventional treatments have failed to achieve desired results. Patients of any age may be candidates for acupuncture.
Some insurances cover the cost of the procedure, depending on the condition treated.
